Initial Behavior Consultation
Due to the high number of current clients at this time,
the wait for new clients is about TWO MONTHS.
If you would like to be added to my wait-list, or if you would like help finding the right person to assist with your needs, please feel free to contact me.
My goal is to help improve guardian-pet relationships and to help prevent, when possible, pets from being relinquished to animal shelters, given away, or euthanized. I will assist with any behavior problem you may be experiencing. I will also help you through the process of considering alternate options, in the rare instance that we determine that the problem you are experiencing is just too severe.
Description:
- Initial behavior consultations required for all behavior problem and training services
- Last two hours minimum; hourly training rates apply after that
- This allows me to get a feel for you, your family, your lifestyle, and your pets and to introduce training techniques and concepts
- Includes customized treatment plan to guide you step-by-step after your consult
- Second hour is 1/2 rate
- Hourly rates apply to appointments lasting beyond 2 hrs
- Discounted rates for adopted pets, Baby-Ready Pets attendees, or those on limited/fixed incomes who have adopted
- Travel fee applied to appointments over 60 miles RT from my home
- Contact me for details
- Scheduling is limited, as I work 30hrs/wk for American Humane Association which at times requires a great deal of travel (training is not my full-time job)
- I normally schedule new clients anywhere from one week to two months out, depending on location (I do keep a cancellation list)
- Clients are scheduled Mondays and Fridays between 9am and 5pm
- If you are unable to meet during these times, please visit my resources page for assistance in finding someone to help address your needs. Also, please feel free to contact me as I may be able to advise you over phone or email.

The question is not, "Can they reason?" nor, "Can they talk?" but rather, "Can they suffer?"
